The Summit Coaching program is a systematic goal program for the Small Groups in the local church. It is based on a 10 step goal process over a year period. The program has 4 keys to success.
Benefits of the program include: Extensive resource materials, Books about Small Group work, Program resource manual, Teaching resources and a Thumb Drive of bonus training material. One of the sessions is an age-graded training led by qualified age group specialists.
The program also includes an extensive SMALL GROUP HEALTH ASSESSMENT. An Examination Instrument is used to measure Vital Signs of your Small Group and your Small Group receives a health score. The health score helps establish a starting point for the program and identifies key areas to focus on during the program period.
SMALL GROUP SPACE USAGE STUDY is also done. This study evaluates all space that is being used or could be used for Small Group. The study will help determine the best use of space and if additional space is needed for growth. The greatest benefit of the program is the coach that is available during the 18 months to assist the pastor and Small Group Director. It is like having an additional staff member for your church.
The program is designed to lead your Small Groups to the Summit. The Summit brings a new day for your Small Groups where there is growth, excitement and enthusiasm for the Small Groups that affects the entire church in a positive way.
The ultimate goal is to glorify the Lord by bringing people to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. This strengthens the global mission’s goal of the church. As a great missions statesman once said “The light that shines the farthest, shines the brightest at home”.

“I don’t have administrative gifts but you have given me practical ways to lead the Sunday School. Even though I am not an organizer you have taught the material in a way that I can understand it and practice it where I am.”
· “I’ve learned that I knew some of these things but I didn’t know how to administrate it and implement it in my church. I have been more focused on preaching and Sunday School leadership has been a weakness. You have shown me how to lead the Sunday School.”
· “I did not have any plan and now I have one. God has used this to get my focus back on the main thing.”
· “It has sharpened my focus, reigned me in, and put my feet back on the ground. Truthfully, it helped me so much that I think I have accomplished more in the Sunday School in the last couple of months than ever before and much more than I would have without this process. Without the training I would probably be going in ten different directions but now that I am focused and I think the church is better for it.”
· “My passion has been greater for Sunday School but also I have been reminded of the importance of equipping. My leadership is not only preaching, but also equipping. I cannot simply say here is a class, here is a quarterly, go and teach a class.”
· “I learned that the Sunday School is more than a Bible study. It is a ministry and it can be the greatest ministry tool the church has and that my role is important to it. The first class we took on the role of the pastor opened my eyes and gave me a passion for it.”
